I had alreays owned 1st and 2nd gen RX-&'s and loved 'em. I test drove a 93 one and it was truly awesome in the handling department and feel, but I didnt like the response off boost plus I was already hearing about a lot of engine problems with them so I x'ed it off my list. plus it was a tight fit for me. test drove a 93 and a 94 Supra TT. They just didnt feel all that fast to me. the handling was good but uncommunicative. brakes were good. build quality was exceptional. good ergonomics. I didnt care for the looks and both were also about 10k$ more than I was willing to spend. I just was not impressed with the overall feel of the performance envelope of the cars in stock form...especially compared to my 928. drove 3 TTZ's and one NA. NA just had no power compared to my then 928 ( sorry NA guys! ), handling was ok, brakes were fair at best. The TT's were a 90,92,93. The one I bought ( 90 ) was noticeabley faster than the other two TTZ's ( all 3 were totally stock ), felt definitely quicker than the Supras, handled better ( much more "feel" than the supras ) Interior was perfect ergonomically for me ( reminded me a lot of my 928 overall )shifter was good, brakes were only fair ( 1st thing I was going to mod on it ). and the looks...WOW! I loved the looks of the TTZ, the RX was a distant second and the Supra dead last in the looks dept. to me. I bought My 90 in 95 w/38k mi on it and paid 14.5K$..to me it was a steal, I wouldnt sell it for 20K$ now. And if I had to do it all over again knowing what I know now I would still have bought the TTZ over the Supra or the RX-7.
